Okay, like I said I don't know what it means, but...

The Sect Leader then took a piece of paper out of his sleeve. Holding it up, it was immediately apparent what it was:

A list of everyone captive here in alphabetical order.

It's not handwritten, but looked pretty...you know pretty in the way you'd find on fancy menu courses during the welcome banquet. Additionally, there were only a few names not crossed off:

Wei Wuxian ]

It's not like I don't trust the others, but...they could jump to conclusions. So, I just wanted to make everyone in here aware of this. A-and don't tell anyone else! I mean it!

Before I add anything else, does anyone have guesses what this list might mean, though?

I might have snuck into his place when he wasn't there, and also I think one of his creatures saw me...but! It didn't seem to be out in the open, since it was in his room.

I usually would not advocate stealing, but given that this wasn't something that should have been seen by us--

My theory is whether they have been singled out for... other purposes that we may not be aware of.

...there are rats in there, it looks like. So, keep an eye out for them, even just in general. They seem to be kind of like lookouts, and they understand what people are saying, I think.

As far as I remember, no one has. I haven't been given any special role to play in all of this.

Not that I know of, but if they had some kind of special purpose... Then that would be a logical conclusion, right?

While I can guess a few reasons someone would be interested in me, I can't really tell if it would be the same for the others.

[ His newer hermit lifestyle isn't doing him any favors here. ]

But since he's the one who wrote it, I do feel like there is definitely interest from his side of things. Not that I think it's anything good.

If he's interested in me, then I suppose I should hurry up and pay him a visit. I already was planning on talking to him about his flute.

It wouldn't be ideal if it was found in any of our possession, especially if any of us have gone to see Hamelin in between?

...Speaking of his flute, I think he really does seem to have it on him at all times? It was nowhere in the room, as to be expected, but I wanted to doublecheck for...reasons.

[ He'll glance at Norton before directing his gaze back at the other three. ]

One more thing of note is that he seemed to usually have some kind of small square box in his drawers. It wasn't there at the moment, but everyone should be on the lookout for it...it might contain something important?

That's about all I was able to find, though there might be something else to his room. I just couldn't stay in there too long to figure out what it was.

I can't see a kid like Adora being on a hit list. She seems rather earnest with trying to get to the bottom of things.
