Well...a bit late in not having to deal with any wars. There was the Sunshot Campaign back home about a decade or so ago, but I think I was fortunate not to be an active participant.
[ He'll look sheepish; he'll at least mention that. But it did not end up with most people dismembered and such.
Though, after the war, his elder brother had not been so...fortunate. Regardless he's actually a little happy Raven seemed a bit better after that. It's not often he's had the chance to listen to people vent, but people here really needed it, especially with how roughs were in this place. ]

Ahh, damn. I spoke too soon on that one, huh? I'm glad ya weren't on the front lines or anything, but I'm not discountin' being around fer it in general. Everyone's affected by war in different ways.

It's just a shame, 'cause getting to know you guys hasn't been all that bad. S'not like any of us woulda met otherwise. But havin' all the death and tragedy as a backdrop kinda ruins the mood.
It'd be nice if something like this happened, but instead we were all playing silly games instead. Then after all is said and done, we get sent back...with our lives and sanity in tact.

Sorta? Alexei's with the Empire, while me n' Yeager are with the Guilds. That's two totally separate worlds fer reasons Alexei explained a while back. Yeager's guild is part of the Union, but I'd consider it loosely. He doesn't make many appearances at Union meetings, so I hadn't really interacted with him much before this place.

Dunno if you'd say "good friends", but I've gotten ta know 'em better. Alexei, though... He's way too uptight fer my tastes. I can't see us becomin' friends.
