I might have snuck into his place when he wasn't there, and also I think one of his creatures saw me...but! It didn't seem to be out in the open, since it was in his room.

...there are rats in there, it looks like. So, keep an eye out for them, even just in general. They seem to be kind of like lookouts, and they understand what people are saying, I think.

As far as I remember, no one has. I haven't been given any special role to play in all of this.

Not that I know of, but if they had some kind of special purpose... Then that would be a logical conclusion, right?

Not necessarily.

It could be that Hamelin just wants to use them more than the other people here, because he finds something he likes about them. It could be something else, even.

Besides, I know one of them that's on this list and that's with us here right now wouldn't work with him even if he begged.

Maybe there's something about them or their world that he's interested in? Or he has more information to use against them than the rest of us.

Conveniently, we have one person who is on the list in our little group here.

It may be worth seeing if there are some things that could possibly connect these individuals, but I admit any link I could draw would be tenuous at best if I'm not familiar with most of them.

I've spoken to almost all of them, actually. Except Adora.

They're all hard-working people who seem to really care about others? Also, they're not afraid to speak up. They might be willing to sacrifice themselves if it came to it, but I can't be too of this one for all of them. Just the first two.

...I really don't know if any of these characteristics would be why, though.

[ However, Huaisang could see why Hamelin would love to have self-sacrificial people, and he didn't like it!! ]

Another possibility is that he's not...done with them? [ Since it is a checklist and all. ] We're all varied enough that it's entirely possible something unexpected came up during our travel here. At least, that's one of my guesses.

He could've had trouble just whisking them away, since he's not omnipotent or something...
