[ Huaisang looked exhausted. He hadn't gotten much sleep starting from Saturday night and it showed. Then of course the nightmares came, it's been awful!!
Anyway, Huaisang either asked, pestered, cried on (lol), or nudged people to his room. ]
Hello everyone...I noticed something when I went to go to visit Hamelin the night before the execution. Er, the second time.
I-I don't know what it means, I really don't! So...I request that what we talk about here tonight doesn't leave the room at this point in time. Can we agree to that for now? It may not be a big deal, but it's just in case. A-And before any of you ask, I chose the rest of you because I thought you could handle it without getting into a fight or jumping to conclusions.
[ That's probably a fun start to this little get together. ]
((Ooc: Feel free to jump around, there's no tagging order whatsoever. ))
He's also looking a bit distracted himself. Probably because of the sleep issues, but he may have been seen poking around the Theives Den earlier that day... ]
[ For a moment, he is frowning at the appearance of his friend. Maybe he should sit on him until he sleeps later on.
For now, he'll focus on the thing at hand. Giving a nod as he folds his arms against his chest. ]
You already know I'm good at keeping secrets.
[ He's also good about not jumping to conclusions, but makes no promises about the fight part. If it helps, he's honestly exhausted when it comes to fighting others? But his luck usually puts him in one anyways. ]
Okay, like I said I don't know what it means, but...
[ Huaisang will then suddenly check every corner of the room, as if looking for something, before re-opening his door just a little bit of a crack, and then closing it shut.
The Sect Leader then took a piece of paper out of his sleeve. Holding it up, it was immediately apparent what it was:
A list of everyone captive here in alphabetical order.
It's not handwritten, but looked pretty...you know pretty in the way you'd find on fancy menu courses during the welcome banquet. Additionally, there were only a few names not crossed off:
It's not like I don't trust the others, but...they could jump to conclusions. So, I just wanted to make everyone in here aware of this. A-and don't tell anyone else! I mean it!
Before I add anything else, does anyone have guesses what this list might mean, though?
...Oh, right. It was on top of one of Hamelin's books on his bookshelf....
[ ...pause... ]
I might have snuck into his place when he wasn't there, and also I think one of his creatures saw me...but! It didn't seem to be out in the open, since it was in his room.
[ limon says that the paper is creased, which means that it was hurriedly shoved into a book or something so you know what that's what moriarty is going to going to bring up-- ]
I usually would not advocate stealing, but given that this wasn't something that should have been seen by us--
[ pause for dramatic effect ]
My theory is whether they have been singled out for... other purposes that we may not be aware of.
And after hearing his intentions to go with Wei Wuxian... ]
...there are rats in there, it looks like. So, keep an eye out for them, even just in general. They seem to be kind of like lookouts, and they understand what people are saying, I think.
[ Though he was sure he couldn't just keep it to himself because there was really no benefit to it, but telling everyone was out of the question as far as he was concerned ]
But since he's the one who wrote it, I do feel like there is definitely interest from his side of things. Not that I think it's anything good.
[ It doesn't help his feelings on the subject, but it's better to go along with it than make himself a target. So he'll probably be just a little more wary... ]
Did you find anything else while you were looking through Hamelin's room?
[ The tension temporarily mostly drained from his face. This week had barely started and usually he'd be less sharp edges but when it dealt with his friend possibly dying again, and he had experienced the possibility himself at a point in trial...all fun and games kind of took a temporary backseat. ]
Well, not really, but I'll reiterate the lack of things I noticed in the room:
First, there was no flute how hard I looked, so he really must carry it on him as I thought.
Second, in the drawers I figured out there was a small square box in his drawers that was supposed to be there...but wasn't. I think it's something important, so if we come across it, we should probably make sure to find out what it is. Preferably without him knowing that we did.
Lastly, there was a rat watching me the whole entire time in there, and I got the feeling it ran out of the room to tell Hamelin I was there or that an intruder was there. But...I can't be sure. It seemed to watch me far too closely for it to be a regular animal and for me not to think otherwise?

I can promise that much. As long as it isn't an immediate danger to us all, I guess.
[ So like, not a bomb. He really hopes it's nothing like a bomb. ]

... Did Hamelin give this to you, or did it happen to be just lying around? That would affect what I think this list is.

Towards the end of the 'Meeting'
Remember what you all agreed to. I decided to place my trust in the rest of you.
At one point I intend to disclose the list to everyone else, but only when we find out the truth behind it or something more concrete.
[ He might he considering telling McGillis as well, but he will cross that bridge when he got there.
In reality, to him this was a test, and if something happened, he'd know whoever failed the test that they were not to be trusted. ]
I also don't want any of you going after anyone on that list. Especially when we know nothing. So, promise me you won't.
Before we put an ending to this, were there any final comments anyone wanted to make?
